Her Excellency Wan Lixin, the Ambassador of China to the Maldives, paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu at the President's Office this morning. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and expediting the implementation of agreements reached during the President's recent visit to China.
During the meeting, Ambassador Wan Lixin inquired about the current needs of the Maldives, offering the Chinese government's support to address them. President Muizzu expressed his gratitude for China’s willingness to assist and highlighted the close relationship between the two nations. Furthermore, Ambassador Wan Lixin also noted the special importance attached to the Maldives by the Chinese President.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer accompanied President Muizzu, while high-ranking officials from the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives also attended the meeting.
