Hassan Faihath Appointed FDC Deputy Managing Director

Hassan Faihath Gudhurathullah, a former president of the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council, has been appointed Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC).

FDC confirmed the appointment in a post on X, welcoming Faihath to the new position. Faihath, who is from G.Dh. Thinadhoo, previously served as president of the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council.

FDC is a state-owned company established to provide social and affordable housing solutions in the Maldives. The corporation is currently overseeing the construction of a 4,000-unit housing project in Hulhumalé. FDC’s official documents identify the project as the 4,000 Housing Units project, while government audit records confirm that the corporation’s housing portfolio includes two 2,000-unit social housing projects.

In addition to its housing projects, FDC is involved in development projects across different islands, including efforts to improve classrooms at schools.
