FDC on track to finish 4,000-flat handover by January

The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) says the handover of its 4,000 social housing flats is progressing as planned, following the timeline announced earlier this month.

The phased handover began on 28 September with Tower 14 and has since expanded to Aman Udhares Towers 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16. Each tower contains 120 units, and residents are receiving keys throughout the second week of December. Handover sessions run daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

FDC’s updated schedule confirms that all remaining flats will be handed over by the final week of January. Tenants will begin paying rent three months after moving in, while maintenance fees will apply from the date they take occupancy.

Speaking to residents of Henveiru on Sunday night, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reiterated that the entire handover process will be completed before the new academic year begins.
