FDC Resumes Signing Agreements for 4,000 Flats in Hulhumalé

The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has resumed signing agreements for 4,000 housing units in Hulhumalé, with the process taking place daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Hulhumalé Synthetic Track.
The signing process, which began on July 21, was temporarily paused for the Independence Day holiday and weekend but resumed today. So far, 71 agreements have been signed, with information for 2,665 recipients sent to FDC by the Housing Ministry.
The flat allocation list was initially gazetted by the previous government on November 4, 2023. The current administration continues to honour this list and is proceeding with agreements for all eligible individuals without issues.
FDC has urged applicants to ensure their documentation is complete and clear, noting that incomplete or unclear documents, such as ID cards, have caused significant delays.
Keys to the flats are handed over following the payment of a security deposit: MVR 15,000 for two-bedroom units and MVR 25,000 for three-bedroom units.
