The Maldives has once again secured the title of Indian Ocean's Best Spa Destination 2025 at the prestigious World Spa Awards. This marks the 10th time the Maldives has won the award, reinforcing its reputation as one of the world’s leading wellness and spa destinations.
According to Visit Maldives, the award reflects the Maldives’ commitment to offering world-class spa and wellness experiences that combine luxury with the natural beauty of the islands. In addition to the national accolade, several Maldivian resorts also received recognition across multiple categories at this year’s ceremony.
The Maldives achieved the title after competing against other prominent wellness destinations, including Seychelles and Mauritius. Visit Maldives emphasized that consistently winning the award both regionally and globally underscores the Maldives’ enduring position as a premier hub for wellness tourism.
Since the inception of the World Spa Awards 11 years ago, the Maldives has won the Best Spa Destination title 10 times.
