UK Tourist Arrivals to Maldives Surpass 100,000 This Year

More than 100,000 tourists from the United Kingdom have visited the Maldives so far this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Tourism.
The UK is currently the third-largest source market for tourist arrivals to the Maldives.
According to the latest figures published by the ministry, 101,391 tourists from the UK had visited the Maldives as of August 8. This accounts for 7.9 percent of the total tourist arrivals recorded in the Maldives so far this year.
China remains the largest source market for tourist arrivals to the Maldives, with more than 200,000 Chinese tourists visiting the country so far this year. Russia ranks second.
A total of 1,310,451 tourists have visited the Maldives so far this year.
While the number of tourist arrivals recorded so far this year is lower than the corresponding period last year, the figure is higher than the number recorded during the same period in 2024.
