FDC to Begin Signing Agreements for 4,000 Hulhumalé Housing Units Next Week

Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC)
Fahi Living Corporation (FDC) announced that it will commence signing agreements with recipients of 4,000 housing units developed in the second phase of Hulhumalé starting next Monday.
The agreement signing will take place between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on designated days at specified locations within the Hulhumalé Synthetic Track. FDC will announce the exact areas through its official channels once finalized.
Recipients are advised to bring necessary documents and will be notified of their designated day and time via FDC’s “Fahi Portal” scheduling system. Priority will be given to towers where construction and finishing works are complete and ready for handover.
The flats will be handed over fully equipped with essential fixtures, including fans, windows, doors, tiles, paint, and bathroom facilities.
To address previous challenges with unpaid rent, the government has structured the agreements for 25 years, with registration transfer occurring upon payment of the agreed rent.
The project includes 32 towers, each 18 stories high, funded by an MVR 3.5 billion loan from India’s EXIM Bank under a sovereign guarantee. Sixteen towers are contracted to India’s JMC under the "Aman Udhares" scheme, and sixteen are contracted to NBCC under the "Aman Dhodhi" scheme.
Each tower contains eight apartments per floor, offering 1,200 two-bedroom flats and 2,800 three-bedroom flats.
