Pakistan’s High Commissioner Presents Credentials to President Muizzu

The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Maldives, His Excellency Vice Admiral (Retd) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, officially presented his Letters of Credence to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a formal ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning.
The ceremony began with a traditional “Haiykolhu” procession, where the High Commissioner was escorted from Republic Square to the President’s Office by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band, reflecting the Maldives’ rich cultural heritage and warm diplomatic traditions.
Upon receiving the credentials, President Muizzu formally welcomed Vice Admiral Lodhi as the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives. The President reiterated the Maldives’ commitment to further strengthening the enduring ties between the two nations.
In their discussions following the ceremony, both parties emphasized enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as climate change, health, tourism, and trade. High Commissioner Lodhi also commended President Muizzu for his leadership and praised the Maldives for its steadfast support for the people of Palestine.
This ceremonial exchange underlines the strong partnership between the Maldives and Pakistan, with both nations expressing a shared vision for collaboration on regional and global challenges.
