The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Maldives, Her Excellency Wang Lixin, paid a farewell call on Vice President His Excellency Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef at the President’s Office on Monday.
During the meeting, Vice President Latheef commended Ambassador Wang for her efforts in strengthening the bilateral relationship between China and the Maldives. He expressed gratitude for her contributions during her tenure and for the continuous support provided by the Chinese government to the Maldives.
Ambassador Wang, in turn, thanked President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the Maldivian Administration for their consistent support. She highlighted the resilience and achievements of the Maldives, praising the government's positive development throughout the year.
The Vice President and the Ambassador reflected on the substantial growth of bilateral relations, noting key areas of cooperation, including education, higher education, infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism. Both sides expressed confidence that the strong ties between the two countries would continue to flourish in the years ahead.
