Vice President Departs for Commonwealth Summit in Antigua and Barbuda
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef departed for Antigua and Barbuda on Friday to attend the 28th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), accompanied by a high-level government delegation.
The summit, scheduled for 1–4 November, will bring together Commonwealth leaders under the theme “Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth”.
During the visit, the Vice President is expected to participate in several events and deliver remarks and interventions.
Discussions will address global economic, environmental and security challenges, with an emphasis on strengthening cooperation, building resilience, expanding trade and advancing sustainable development.
The meeting will also focus on attracting sustainable investment and promoting inclusive economic growth across Commonwealth member countries.
