Aasandha Company has announced the rollout of a "dispense code" system to improve the distribution of medicines under its healthcare scheme. Effective tomorrow, recipients of medicines will receive a unique code on their registered phone number upon obtaining drugs from pharmacies.
In a public notice, Aasandha explained that this measure is aimed at strengthening its distribution system following reports of misuse, including incidents of medicines being resold at significantly reduced prices.
Under the new procedure, the individual collecting the medicine will provide their ID card and phone number to the pharmacist. The dispense code will then be sent to the registered number, which the pharmacist will enter into the Aasandha portal to authorize the transaction.
This system has been introduced to enhance security and accountability in medicine distribution, ensuring only the intended recipients benefit from government-subsidized medications. Aasandha emphasized its commitment to safeguarding public resources while maintaining the efficiency of its healthcare services.
The implementation reflects broader efforts to curb irregularities and misuse within the program, reinforcing trust in the Aasandha scheme.
