Allied Insurance Company has announced the resumption of cashless services across its allied healthcare providers, following a brief suspension that left many policyholders temporarily impacted. The suspension came in response to a new Aasandha policy, which stipulated that private insurance benefits must be exhausted before accessing Aasandha coverage.
Last week, Aasandha—the government health insurance program—implemented a policy requiring healthcare providers to ensure that patients utilize their private insurance benefits to the maximum before activating Aasandha’s financial coverage. This change, intended to reduce strain on Aasandha’s resources, prompted several insurance providers, including Allied, to initially halt cashless services.
In a statement, Allied Insurance notified healthcare providers and the public that cashless services have been reinstated. The company assured its customers that previous service terms would be honored, allowing uninterrupted access to medical services without upfront payments.
