HPA Announces Stricter Measures For Male City Following Recent Spike In Covid Cases

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced stricter measures in response to the increase in Covid-19 cases in the Greater Male Region.
In a statement released today, the HPA announced that they had decided to apply stricter measures in the Greater Male Region due to the increase in positive cases and also since the Omicron variant had been found in the Maldives.
The HPA's statement prohibited gatherings of 50 or more individuals, and had required that any gatherings with fewer participants should take place in accordance with HPA guidelines.
In addition to such gatherings, the HPA had also prohibited street markets. The HPA had also prohibited spectator sporting events.
