The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has confirmed 11 cases of chicken pox in k.Gulhi
The agency said 11 cases of chicken pox were reported in November, two of whom were admitted to the IGMH for further treatment. Cases of the disease are commonly reported from different parts of the country every year
Caused by a virus, it usually affects children, but it can affect adults as well, with symptoms including fever, fatigue, runny nose and skin rashes.These rashes turn into watery blisters and are very itchy and easily broken. Within a few days, watery rashes appear in different parts of the body
Ways in which the virus spreads :
- When an infected person coughs and sneezes, through the respiratory tract.
- Touching an infected person or using towels, clothes, etc. that he has used.
- There is a possibility of spreading from one person to another until the rashes are cured together
In addition, anyone who has not been infected before is at risk and once infected, the chances of getting the disease a second time are very low, the agency said.
