Pakistani High Commission Observes Kashmir’s Black Day

The Pakistani High Commission in the Maldives has observed Kashmir Black Day, today.
Kashmir Black Day is observed on October 27 of every year. The day remembers the 1947 Indian takeover of Kashmir; Indian armed forces invaded Jammu and Kashmir forced its Maharajah to join the newly-created India.
This is the 74th year that Kashmir Black Day is being observed. Pakistani consulates and embassies around the world arranged different events to observe the day.
The Pakistani High Commission in the Maldives organised an exhibition of photographs and video footage of India’s atrocities in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
Although Kashmir had enjoyed relative autonomy under the Constitution, that autonomy was rescinded in 2019 by Indian parliament.
India has come under much criticism for its actions in Kashmir.
