Parliament representative for Bilehdhoo constituency Ahmed Haleem (Dhonbiley) has claimed that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has not called former President and incumbent Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed since he flew to Germany seeking further treatment for injuries sustained in the May 6 terror attack.
Dhonbiley on Friday night tweeted that during a call with Nasheed, the former President divulged that President Solih has not called him, shocking the MP.
The government has yet to make a statement regarding the matter. Speaker Nasheed recently announced he will no longer be working with President Solih in political matters, releasing a statement in English to announce it to the rest of the world.
Members of Parliament who support Nasheed have been criticizing President Solih and the government. It is worth noting that Ahmed Haleem was able to obtain two islands for resort construction during the tenure of President Nasheed. The resorts are currently operational.
