A tweet posted by the ministry's official Twitter account on July 1 congratulated doctors for their hard work and contributions to humanity, and thanked them for fulfilling their roles during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. India celebrates National Doctors Day on July 1.

Maldives celebrates National Doctors Day on April 18.
