The Commission on Deaths and Disappearances (DDCom) released a reenactment video of the disappearance of Minivan News journalist Ahmed Rilwan Abdulla.
According to DDCom, the reenactment was based on the findings of their investigation into the disappearance of Rilwan.
The video showed a group threatening and abducting Rilwan in a red car. During the struggle to force Rilwan into the car, the suspects dropped a knife.
DDCom member Misbah Abbas informed Dhiyares that the purpose of the reenactment video is to encourage anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
The Commission stated that they believe some members of the public with information on the enforced disappearance of Rilwan on August 7, 2014, have yet to come forward. DDCom is offering an incentive of MVR 500,000 for any new evidence on the case.
