We Need a Competent Home Minister: Bonde

Member of Parliament for Maafannu-Central constituency Ibrahim Rasheed (Blonde) declared that the nation needed a Minister of Home Affairs capable of maintaining peace.
The MP shared his thoughts in the caption of a tweet he shared, of activists calling for the amendment of issues at the National Drug Agency.
In addition to the Home Minister, he criticized the National Drug Control Council, stating the council's advice to the President must be publicized.
He mentioned the public's growing concern as drug dealing in the streets has become commonplace.
Bonde asserted that drug rehabilitation facilities should be appointed to appropriate organizations, and supervised by a home minister capable of handling the responsibility.
The current Minister of Home Affairs is one of the four leaders running the government coalition, President of Adhaalath Party Imran Abdullah. Members of the majority party Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) have maintained that Imran was unqualified for the position.
Recently, several cases of drug dealing and drug use in mosques have surfaced.
