Bank of Maldives (BML) has welcomed a new intake of interns under its annual internship programme at a ceremony held recently.
A total of 25 interns were selected for this year’s programme, comprising graduate interns and participants under the newly introduced Techstart category. The Techstart stream has been developed specifically for IT students, offering specialised learning opportunities and practical exposure within the banking sector.
The 12-month internship programme provides hands-on experience across various business units and branch operations of the Bank, along with a monthly allowance to support participants during the training period.
During the ceremony, BML also recognised interns who successfully completed the 2024 internship programme. Several of those graduates were offered permanent positions at the Bank, highlighting the programme’s role in developing future talent for the organisation.
Since its launch in 2018, the Bank of Maldives Internship Programme has supported 77 interns in total, contributing to skills development and career pathways for young Maldivians.
