As of August 1st, the Maldives has welcomed 1,315,495 tourists, marking a 9.4% increase compared to the same period last year (1,202,579 visitors), according to the latest data from the Tourism Ministry.
China continues to lead as the top source market, contributing 18.4% of total tourist arrivals. Russia and the UK follow with 11.8% and 9.3%, respectively.

With the government’s 2.3 million tourist arrival target for 2025, current trends show promising progress toward achieving that goal.
