The Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a weather advisory warning of strong southwest monsoon activity over the Maldives during the next five days, from 27th to 31st May.
According to the statement, this period will bring strong average winds, very rough seas, and wave surges. Additionally, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, particularly across central and northern atolls.
Authorities urge the public to exercise caution, especially seafarers and travellers, who are advised to stay updated on weather developments before setting out.
