Deadline for Maldives Tourism Awards Extended Again

The deadline for nominations for the Maldives Tourism Awards has been extended for a second time.

Initially, the deadline for submitting nominations for the 3rd Maldives Tourism Awards was set for November 14. However, it was later extended to November 28, as per the second announcement. The Ministry of Tourism has now announced that the new deadline for applications is December 7 at 11:00 PM.

The awards are open to resorts, hotels, guesthouses, safaris, and travel agencies. This year, the Ministry plans to present 23 awards across five categories. Applications must be submitted online, and the awards will be based on work carried out between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

In the previous year, the Ministry opened nominations for 59 awards across five categories, receiving 225 applications from 88 parties. Out of these, 31 awards were presented.
