People's National Congress Nears 100,000 Membership Milestone, Reports Chairman Abdul Raheem

The People’s National Congress (PNC) has reached almost 100,000 members, the party’s chairperson and parliament speaker, Abdul Raheem Abdullah, said.
Abdul Raheem said this in an interview with the media in the voting area as voting for the party's internal elections started today. He said the PNC currently has 97,000 valid forms. However, the party aims to reach 100,000, he said.
The party has received 97,000 forms and has 75,000 registered forms, he said. However, due to a rule of the Election Commission, the party register is being added once a week, he said.
He said the Election Commission enters the party register a week after the form is submitted and opened for complaints The PNC is also conducting a form filling campaign in the name of "PNC Membership Drive" to increase its membership.
