Twelve Suspects Remanded in Custody Over Alleged Kidnapping in Hiyaa Flat

In a major development, twelve suspects connected to an alleged kidnapping inside a Hulhumale' Hiyaa apartment were remanded into judicial custody. Police stated that upon receiving a report of the incident, a specialized unit responded promptly, forcibly entering the apartment to detain those involved.

Upon their arrival, police reportedly found the victim with severe injuries, including a head injury, with the suspects allegedly attempting further harm by breaking his fingers. Law enforcement did not release details regarding the victim’s condition or specific injuries.

Following the arrests, all twelve suspects were presented in court, where they were remanded into custody. According to police, the court ordered five-day custody for the primary suspects, while an additional seven suspects were detained for seven days.
