President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that retiring teachers will receive a monthly pension from this year.
The President was responding to a question by a teacher during the President's Office's ‘Aha’ Forum.
A member of the audience asked when he would receive his retirement pension along with his monthly pension, and asked when the change would be permanent.
Replying to the question, the President said that a solution would be brought within this year.
The President has said this while 150 of the 161 promises he made when he came to power have been fulfilled.
