Government to Use Technology to Strengthen Government Administration and Improve Service Quality: President
President Dr. Muizzu speaks at the World Government Summit.
The President has said that the government has started to improve the quality of services provided to the people with the help of modern technology.
In his speech at the annual World Government Summit, initiated by the Emir of Dubai, the President said artificial intelligence is an innovation that plays a key role in improving productivity in today's world.
His vision for Maldives is to use artificial intelligence and technology to increase productivity, create a favorable environment for investments, and provide the necessary space for businesses to grow, he said.
The President said the government has chosen innovative ways to improve the quality of government services and increase transparency. It will create a culture of accountability, while increasing the participation of the people in the democratic process, he said.
His presidential manifesto includes the establishment of paperless e-government platforms, one-stop counter services, traffic management, social services, and citizen registration, as well as the use of artificial intelligence to carry out these improvements.
The President said that Maldives will keep pace with e-commerce, blockchain technology and artificial intelligence solutions as priorities during his five-year term.
