Japan and Maldives Seek Strengthening Economic Corporation

Maldives and Japan are working to strengthen ties in the fields of economy and development.

Director General of the South East and Southwest Asian Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Nakamura Ryo paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Fatima Inaya.

Foreign Secretary Inaya extended a warm welcome to Director General Ryo at the meeting held yesterday morning. During the meeting, Inaya and Ryo highlighted the close historical ties between Maldives and Japan.

Both leaders assured that they would work to further strengthen bilateral relations in the fields of economy and development.
