Government Announces Visa Free Travel to Mongolia

The Foreign Ministry yesterday said that Maldivians traveling to Mongolia will be able to travel to the country without a visa from the 12th of this month.

The Ministry disclosed that under the visa facilities, Maldivians holding diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports can enter and stay in Mongolia for a maximum period of thirty days from the date of entry into the country.

However, Maldivians who wish to stay for an extended period for work, go to an educational institution, or do business in Mongolia will need to obtain an appropriate visa before traveling.

The visa agreement was signed between Maldives and Mongolia on August 17th, last year.
