The ruling PNC and the opposition MDP have postponed the primary to determine their candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The PNC had originally decided to hold its primary on the 20th of this month. The primary was then brought forward to December 23, however on December 15, the PNC decided to hold the primary on January 20 as before.
The PNC yesterday announced that the party's primary has been postponed again to the 27th of this month.
The party said it would announce the list of candidates and voters within the next two days.
The opposition MDP primary was originally scheduled for the 26th and 27th of this month. However, the MDP announced today that the party's primary has been postponed to the 3rd of February.
