Highlighting a number of Chinese-funded projects in the Maldives, Ambassador Wang said that the construction of the Sinamale' Bridge, an important project under the Belt and Road Initiative, is a symbol of the strong ties between the two countries. The ambassador pointed out that in just four years, the bridge was crossed 100 million times.
Pointing out that over 11,000 social housing units have been set up in the Maldives by Chinese companies, the ambassador said it has greatly improved the lives of the people of the country.
