PPM submits 10,000 new membership forms to Elections Commission

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has submitted 10,000 new membership forms to the Elections Commission on Wednesday.
PPM leaders, senate members of the coalition as well as ordinary party members visited the Elections Commission building to submit the forms, where the President of the Elections Commission, Fuad Thaufeeq received them.
Candidates running for the upcoming PPM internal constituency elections have been bringing in many new members to the party and these membership forms are all new members hoping to register themselves and PPM members.
Although the candidates running for president and vice Presidents of each constituency were tasked to bring in a minimum of 50 new members each, PPM proudly emphasized that they brought in more new members than expected.
With 10,000 new members, this was the most number of forms received to be registered for one party at once.
With the exception of MDP, PPM has the second most number of members in the Maldives.
