MACL MD purchases land worth MVR 7 million from Male’

Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), Mahjoob Shujau, has purchased land worth MVR 7 million from Male’.

Case to purchase the land was filed with the Civil Court in May of 2022.

According to a judgment passed by the Civil Court yesterday, the land of 1,400 square feet registered under the name of “V. Naaringu Aage” along with all buildings and property on the land have been sold to Mahjoob for a total of MVR 7,980,000.

The judgment also stated that Mahjoob had paid off the cost of the property and therefore the ownership of the land now belonged to him.

While Mahjoob’s new acquisition remains noteworthy, Henveiru Dhekunu constituency MP Hussain Shaheem (Andhun Hussain)’s sister Fathimath Naseema has also purchased a property worth MVR 16 million from Hulhumale’ phase 2. Furthermore, Managing Director of the State Trading Organization (STO), Hussain AMru, had also purchased land worth over MVR 8.4 million from Male’ within last year.
