MP Mosta Fights Back Against Govt Attempts To Silence India Out Movement

MP Mohamed "Mosta" Nasheed Abdullah (MNP-Nolhivaram) had announced that he would yell out "India Out" within the Majlis, and that he could not be arrested for it.
Speaking at today's Majlis session, MP Nasheed said that the Maldivian people did not wish for the Indian military to be present in the Maldives. He said that Indian troops would have to leave, and that the "India Out" slogan would continue to be called out.
The ruling MDP is currently drafting a bill that proposes jail terms for people who participate in the "India Out" movement. In reference to the draft, MP Nasheed said that such people could not be arrested or be clapped on the ears.
"We will call it out here as well. We will call it out on the streets. You cannot arrest us. You cannot clap our ears", said MP Nasheed.
MP Falah (MDP-Henveiru West) had previously made statements calling for sympathisers of the India Out movement to have their ears clapped.
MP Nasheed further called out against threatening judges in the interests of stopping the movement.
"The last time you tried to dip your hand in the court-house, you found yourself resigning in a stupor", said MP Nasheed, making reference to the end of Speaker Nasheed's short-lived presidency 10 years ago.
MP Ali Azim, the MDP's parliamentary group leader, had called for the impeachment of judges who did not stop the India Out movement.
