EC Permits Formation of "Maldives National Party"

Elections Commission (EC) has permitted parliament representative for Villimale' constituency Ahmed Usham to form a political party named "Maldives National Party".

While EC has permitted MP Usham to form the party, MP Usham has claimed that the party is a collaboration among Dhangethi MP Colonel (Rtd) Mohamed Nazim, Nolhivaram MP Mohamed Nasheed Abdullah (Mosta) Thimarafushi MP Abdullah Riyaz, and Milandhoo MP Abdullah Muhsin Hameed.

MP Usham stated he hoped to register the party and commence operations without delay.
