MP Azim Falsely Claims That Maldivian Students In Ukraine Had Been Transferred To Another Country

MP Ali Azim (MDP-Henveiru Central) has falsely claimed that the Maldivian students resident in Ukraine had been transferred to another country.
MP Mohamed "Mosta" Nasheed Abdullah (MNP - Nolhivaram) had submitted an emergency motion calling upon the Foreign Ministry to ensure the security of Maldivian students resident in Ukraine and India. In response, MP Azim claimed that the Maldivian students resident in Ukraine had already been transferred to another country.
"The Maldivian government has already transferred the Maldivian students resident in Ukraine to another country--either that, or they are working on it", said MP Azim.
Since the steps had already been taken, MP Azim said that he believed that MP Mohamed Nasheed Abdullah's emergency motion could not be submitted.
Despite MP Azim's claim, Maldivian students resident in Ukraine have not been transferred to another country; and the government has not attempted to implement such a transfer.
An email sent from the Maldivian government to the Maldivian students in Ukraine had read that if they wished to return to the Maldives, they would have to buy their own tickets. The email did not give any indication of the government's intention to help them.
