Usable Reserves At USD359 Million: Central Bank

As of the end of November 2021, the State's usable reserves amounted to USD$359 million.

According to statistics published by the Maldives Monetary Authority, the total reserve was worth USD$943 million, the usable reserve had been USD$359 million. Although the total reserves had diminished since October, the State's usable reserves had increased.

As of the end of October, the State's total reserves amounted to USD$947 million and usable reserves amounted to USD$347 million.

Although the State's reserves had been severely depleted as a result of the pandemic in 2020, the reserves are currently increasing. In November 2020, the State's total reserve had been USD$629 million, with a usable reserve of USD$146 million.

The exchange rate of the Maldivian Rufiyaa is maintainted through the foreign currency reserve held by the MMA.
