Favara digital payment platform has announced a temporary disruption in its services tonight due to scheduled system maintenance.
According to a public notice issued by Favara, the maintenance will take place from 12:00 midnight to 3:00 AM, during which time users may experience interruptions or delays in completing transactions.
The maintenance is being carried out in relation to the Maldives Instant Payment System (IPS), a system developed and operated by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) to streamline interbank transfers.
Favara apologized for any inconvenience caused and assured its customers that services would resume promptly once the maintenance is completed.
“We sincerely apologize for any disruption caused and appreciate the understanding of our customers as we work to improve our services,” the service said.
Favara plays a critical role in the country’s digital financial ecosystem, enabling thousands of daily transactions. Its features include Favara Transfer, allowing instant interbank transfers, and Favara Request, which helps users and businesses send bills and manage payment requests.
Customers are advised to schedule any urgent transactions before or after the planned maintenance window to avoid inconvenience.
