Opposition to Stage Protest Against Indian Military Presence in the Maldives

The opposition Progressive Congress Coalition will stage a large demonstration on 5th November.
The purpose of the protest is to raise voice against Indian military presence in the Maldives.
At a press conference held by the Coalition today, they have planned for a demonstration on November 5, titled "Minivankamuge Hin'gaalun" ("Walk for Independence"). The demonstration would start at 4pm, in front of PPM's offices.
The opposition Coalition had initiated a large, well-attended demonstration last Friday, as well.
The opposition Coalition's street demonstrations have been increasing in their strength and numbers.
