COVID-19 Vaccine Mandatory to Travel via Taxi

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has informed all transport operators to deny service to those who cannot prove they have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
The ministry announced that operators of land, sea, and air transport, including taxis, must ensure that their passenger has received any dose of the vaccine. The transport providers have been informed not to provide services until all Health Protection Agency (HPA) guidelines are met.
The restrictions will be enforced on Wednesday. The restrictions are part of the government’s efforts to encourage vaccinations and enforce HPA guidelines. The government has been imposing a great number of restrictions on those unvaccinated.
HPA has determined that from September 1, all unvaccinated employees can attend office only after a negative PCR test. Until vaccinations are complete, staff are required to test and present negative PCR results every two weeks.
While the government has decided to provide the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines until the end of September, those unvaccinated will be prohibited from going to school starting September 1.
