India Unable to Accept Pres. Yameen's Efforts towards Independence: Shiyam

Vice President of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and parliament representative for Naifaru constituency Ahmed Shiyam has stated that it was difficult for India to accept former President Yameen's efforts to make the Maldives a completely independent nation.
Shiyam made his statement at a PPM meeting in Gahdhoo, Gaafu Dhaal Atoll. A team of PPM members is currently visiting islands in the Huvadhoo Atoll. Shiyam asked why President Yameen was imprisoned, and responded that Maldives Democratic Party has made major deals with India in order to secure the leadership of Maldives. He added that in the past, all sectors have sabotaged India's attempts to enslave Maldives.
The PPM Vice President stated that President Yameen's government made numerous efforts to secure Maldives' independence and make the nation independent in all aspects. He divulged that it was difficult for India to accept the former President's efforts to make the Maldives a completely independent state.
According to Shiyam, the Maldivian health sector has been designed to enslave Maldives, and not a single leader has been courageous enough to install an MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography) machine in the country's main hospital. It was not impossible and remained undone due to certain influences, but President Yameen decided that the state hospital must have the same facilities as all regional hospitals. Shiyam claimed that India began planning President Yameen's downfall when he introduced the MRA machine.
He iterated that President Yameen introduced the machine with the intention of establishing Dharumavantha Hospital in Maldives as the best health facility within the region. President Mohamed Solih claimed the hospital is a black hole but has mortgaged the hospital to finance the budget, said Shiyam.
He acknowledged that India desires to be based in Maldives for national security reasons as the country remains an important territory for India.
Shiyam speculated India was behind the downfall of President Yameen as he brought a great number of investments from China, and questioned whether India, the coalition, or MDP is ruling the Maldives today. He stated that India has created bases from the north to the south of Maldives.
