Former Economic Minister and parliament representative for Maavashu constituency Mohamed Saeed has stated that a completely different matter is being conducted under the guise of developing the Thilamale' Bridge.
Saeed made his statement in a tweet responding to President Solih on Wednesday claiming that it is unlikely for the bridge to be completed by the end of the presidential term in 2023.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stated that the project has been awarded to a company, and the next step is to sign the agreement, which will be done soon.
Regarding the president's statement, MP Saeed tweeted that the bridge project has been awarded to an inexperienced company. He further stated that the main aim of the Thilamale' Bridge project is to conduct military activity in Uthuru Thilafalhu.
He highlighted several projects left unfinished by Indian companies and inquired about the Naadhee plot in Male' given to India's Tata.
In relation to the issue of proving several important Male' land plots to Tata, Saeed asked whether the construction of the Naadhee land plot near Majeedhiyya School has been completed.
