Hundreds of Indian Immigrant Workers to Develop Police Stations in Maldives

ABL Indira Projects, the company assigned a number of projects required by Maldives Police Service (MPS), has said that 500 laborers and 100 engineers will be arriving in Maldives to conduct the projects.
ABL Indira Projects is a joint venture company formed by Ashoka Builcon and Indira Projects and Developments Pvt Ltd in Chennai. The company has now signed the contract with MPS.
During a press conference in India on Tuesday, the Chairman of ABL Indira Projects Bhupesh Nagarajan stated that the contract had been signed with the Maldivian Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed on July 17.
The loan agreement between the Maldivian government and India's EXIM Bank dictates that 85 percent of the project will be funded by the EXIM Bank. The project entails the development of police stations in 61 islands across Maldives.
According to the company, it has arranged for over 500 laborers and over 100 engineers from Tamil Nadu to arrive in Maldives to conduct the projects.
