Former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has posed several important questions to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih regarding the missing journalist Ahmed Rilwan.
Dr. Jameel aimed his questions at President Solih and the government as former President Yameen has been summoned to the Presidential Committee on Deaths and Enforced Disappearances (DDCom) today on suspicion of being involved in the disappearance of Rilwan.
Head of the former president's legal team Dr. Jameel tweeted on Monday night whether summoning President Yameen to DDCom will bring justice to Rilwan.
He also questioned whether the government's political investigations and propaganda published by media supporting the government is any consolation for the families. He further asked whether President Solih no longer has the suspects who were charged with the crime during President Yameen's tenure.
Highlighting that President Solih had pledged to solve Rilwan's case within 24 hours, he noted that it has been nearly three years since his pledge.
Considering these matters, Dr. Jameel stated that President Solih deserves a gold medal in incompetence.
