Member of the ruling coalition Leader of Adhaalath Party Imran Abdulla has stated that none of the four parties in the 2018 coalition have received their rightful shares.
During an interview with online media Adhadhu, Imran claimed he does not believe the four government coalition parties have their rightful shares, and that the coalition's main party Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) also has the same complaint.
Although his party has not been provided its rightful share, Adhaalath Party is more focused on maintaining the government, said Imran.
He revealed that disapproval of government actions within the coalition are being discussed with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, to maintain the coalition.
Home Minister Imran added that the parties have been able to stand together due to President Solih's reassurance that he will uphold the coalition, but certain actions have dissatisfied all party leaders.
As the coalition is to rule for a five-year term, Imran claimed that Adhaalath Party has no interest or intention of discussing changes to the ruling system.
