Additional Suspects of Attack on Pres. Nasheed Revealed

Police on Saturday revealed the personal details of more suspects involved in the May 6 terror attack aimed at former President and incumbent Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed.
They revealed the identities of two of the masterminds of the attack. The two arrested under suspicion of planning the attack, pressuring those involved to attack President Nasheed by explaining the details of a terrorist cell, are Male’-born Ishaag and Mohamed Thasleem, originally from Hoarafushi, Haa Alif Atoll.
Those arrested also include Ali Haisham (Manadhoo, Noonu Atoll), Fahumee Ali (Villingili, Gaafu Alif Atoll), Mohamed Nazim (Maalhos, Alif Alif Atoll), and Abdulla Ali Manik (Mulhadhoo, Haa Alif Atoll).
Police identified Thasleem, Ishaag, and Haisham as the main perpetrators of the attack.
Previously, police publicized the details of Adhuham Ahmed Rasheed (26, from Thinadhoo, Vaavu Atoll), Mujaz Ahmed (21, from Male’), Thahumeen Ahmed (32, from Kondey, Gaafu Alif Atoll), and Ahmed Fathih (23, from Gan, Laamu Atoll). Adhuham is suspected to be the detonator of the bomb.
Police have sent the cases of Adhuham, Mujaz, Fathih, and Thahumeen to the Prosecutor General’s Office. The PGO will receive a period of 30 days for prosecution.
