Vital to Incorporate Community Consultation in Island Development: Madam Fazna

First Lady Fazna Ahmed has appealed for community consultations to be incorporated in development projects, as it is vital to consider the thoughts and feelings of citizens.

Madam Fazna made the statement in a meeting with the members of Hanimaadhoo Women's Development Committee (WDC) during the first couple's visit to Hanimaadhoo, Haa Dhaal Atoll.

During the meeting, the WDC shared their concerns and requests with the First Lady.

Topics discussed include establishing a better pathway to sell various food products made by the women of Hanimaadhoo, the need for a female exercise instructor, and opportunities for women in the sports field.

The First Lady shared her insight on how to address the issues discussed with WDC.

First Lady Fazna was accompanied by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali.
