First Lady Fazna attends fashion show opening ceremony in Thailand

First Lady Fazna Ahmed attended a fashion show opening ceremony in Thailand.

According to the President’s Office, the first lady attended the opening ceremony of Thai Silk Fashion Week, yesterday. The event was held at the Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.

The President’s Office revealed that First Lady Fazna was attending the fashion week, to be held from December 6th to 11th, on the invitation of the Association of Thai Silk and Culture Promotions

While the government continues to spend from a supplementary budget of MVR 5 billion after using up the annual budget for 2022, senior government officials continue to indulge in wasteful expenditure. The First Lady’s trip to Thailand is expected to cost MVR 1 million.

The first couple has traveled to numerous destinations around the globe after presuming their administrational duties. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had previously spoken about his interest in traveling.
