Dr.Muizzu
If elected as Mayor of Male’ city, he will not be a nuisance or oppose the government, stated PPM Vice President, Male’ City Mayoral Candidate and previous Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
In regards to an interview given to Mihaaru News by Dr. Muizzu, he assured the public that he will not be a nuisance or a disruptive person towards the current government at all and that he is contesting as Mayor of Male’ City to help and find solutions to the problems that the citizens of Male’ are facing.
He noted that previously there was no initiative to help citizens or to find solutions to issues they face in daily life and that he will act as a liaison between the people and the government to find said solutions to these issues. He further stated that he will use the City Council budget efficiently to tackle these issues with no hesitation and that he will meet leaders of the government as necessary to smooth along the process.
Dr. Muizzu also stated that he has no issues with the rest of the council members being elected in as MDP members. He stated that he is ready to work as a team and that he will not look at any party colors while going forth with his mission and that all council members are equally important and should be included and that their thoughts and inquiries will always be taken in to consideration as they are representing the people of their constituency.
Dr. Muizzu stated that under his Mayorship Male’ City Council will flourish and be seen as a regularly active body of authority and that he will work tirelessly in service to the citizens of Male’ City.
