The draw for land allotments under the Binveriya Scheme in Hulhumalé Phase III has concluded, with 698 residential plots successfully leased.
Held at Kalaafaanu School, the draw marked the completion of the revised land allocation process following changes to the Hulhumalé Phase III master plan. Authorities reissued the leases after updating land use arrangements to address planning and infrastructure concerns.
According to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, the plots were allocated across seven size categories, ranging from 1,650 to 4,000 square feet, with the majority falling between 1,650 and 2,450 square feet.
The Ministry said details on signing lease agreements and issuing land registry documents will be announced later.
Officials have previously noted that revisions to the master plan were necessary to ensure space for harbour development and to avoid service delivery challenges by integrating Phase III with Hulhumalé Phases I and II. Land reclamation at Phase III is ongoing, with over half of the planned 63 hectares already completed.
